Each student who rides the school
bus has certain responsibilities for insuring his/her own
comfort and safety and the comfort and safety of the other
students.
Rowdy behavior by students on the
buses is totally unacceptable. It is distracting to the
bus drivers and has the potential for causing a serious
accident.
It is, therefore, extremely
important for parents to:
-
Stress with their
child that he/she must exhibit orderly, responsible
behavior at the bus stop and on the school bus.
-
Review with their
child the bus rules for acceptable conduct while riding
the school bus to and from school.
We have directed the school bus
company to provide us with the names of any students who cause
extreme problems on the buses during the school year. We will
immediately notify the parents of such students about their
unacceptable behavior. If, after such notification, the student
should persist in misbehaving on the school bus, that student’s
privilege of riding the school bus will be suspended.
Parents are responsible for
supervising their own children whenever they board the school
bus in the morning and exit the school bus in the
afternoon—unless some other adult has agreed to take on this
responsibility.
Also, please try to adhere to the
transportation arrangements which were established for your
child. If an EMERGENCY situation should arise during the
course of the school day, please telephone the school secretary
at 427-8993 and inform her of any change.
